Ben Scowen – Delivery & Commercial Director
// background
Ben is an accomplished, creative, high-achieving IT executive who brings vision, experience, engineering skills and his network to deliver results. With a degree in software engineering and 30+ years' experience across government, manufacturing, utilities, telecoms, financials and life sciences, Ben understands what needs to be put in place to transform a business. He is passionate about helping customers turn their IT into a value engine, leveraging Human-Led Agentic Engineering to shorten cycles, multiply productivity, increase revenue and reduce costs.
// at Interrupt22
In late 2025, Ben co-founded Interrupt22. As Delivery & Commercial Director, he is responsible for end-to-end delivery, client relationships, go-to-market execution, commercial strategy and strategic partnerships, ensuring the Interrupt22 product and services roadmap is aligned with the real-world challenges facing modern business leaders. Unlike most commercial leaders, Ben is a hands-on engineer. He actively contributes to product development, project delivery, training and works directly with agentic engineering tools like Claude Code to build and ship solutions. He also represents Interrupt22 externally in thought leadership and at industry events.
In addition, Ben serves as a strategic commercial and technical advisor to the board of Tyme Technologies, a specialist nearshore AI consultancy.
// before Interrupt22
Before founding Interrupt22, Ben spent three years at Kyndryl as an executive leading the UK and Ireland Cloud and Mainframe Practices. He set up Kyndryl's AI Innovation Lab, onboarding 100+ engineers, and developed the AI Business Accelerator to take use cases from proof of concept to production. He led demonstrable growth across both practices and served as a thought leader at major events including AWS Summit, Gartner and Tech London Leaders.
Before Kyndryl, Ben spent 18 years at Capgemini. For 11 years he led architecture teams and designed large-scale enterprise IT systems, followed by seven years running a global cloud business supporting 50+ customers and processing hundreds of millions of daily transactions globally.
Ben began his career as a software engineer, spending a decade building product software in the pharmaceuticals and finance industries.
